Arestado ang Top 6 Most Wanted Person sa Negros Island Region ng pinagsanib na mga tracker teams ng Police Regional Office 6 (PRO6) at Police Regional Office – Negros Island Region (PRO-NIR) sa Brgy. Barroc, Tigbauan, Iloilo dakong alas 11:40 ng gabi nito lamang April 22, 2026.
Kinilala ni PBGen Josefino D Ligan, Regional Director ng PRO6, ang naarestong wanted person sa alyas na “Ed,” 43 years old, isang laborer at pansamantalang naninirahan sa Tigbauan, Iloilo, ngunit residente ng Silay City, Negros Occidental.
Inaresto si Ed sa bisa ng warrant of arrest na inisyu ng Regional Trial Court, 6th Judicial Region, Branch 69 sa Silay City, Negros Occidental, noong January 23, 2023, dahil sa kasong four (4) counts ng Statutory Rape sa ilalim ng Article 266-A, Paragraph 1(d) ng Revised Penal Code, nang walang piyansang inirekomenda.
Nanguna sa operasyon ang mga operatiba ng Regional Intelligence Division 6, katuwang ang Tigbauan Municipal Police Station at Silay City Police Station.
“This accomplishment highlights the strong coordination among our police units and our relentless efforts to track down wanted persons, especially those facing serious charges. We remain steadfast in ensuring that no fugitive can evade the long arm of the law. Ang lagi po nating sinasabi na kahit saan man po kayo magtago, hahanapin at hahanapin po namin kayo,” pahayag naman ni PBGen Ligan.
“We also encourage the public to continue supporting the police by providing timely and accurate information that will lead to the arrest of wanted individuals,” dagdag pa niya.
