Naaresto ng Police Regional Office 6 (PRO6) ang isang repeat drug offender na isang drug personality matapos makuhanan ng nasa humigit-kumulang 60 grams ng hinihinalang shabu na may Standard Drug Price (SDP) na PhP408,000.00 sa isinagawang operasyon sa Barangay Bo. Obrero, Lapuz, Iloilo City nito lamang June 25, 2026.
Isinagawa ang operasyon dakong alas 10:10 ng umaga sa pangunguna ng mga operatiba ng Iloilo City Police Station 8, katuwang ang Special Weapons and Tactics (SWAT) Team at ang Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) Team na nagresulta sa pagkakaaresto kay alyas “Vinzon,” 54 years old, jobless, at residente ng Lapuz, Iloilo City.
Narekober sa operasyon ang 16 heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets at isang knot-tied transparent plastic sachet na naglalaman ng hinihinalang shabu.
Pinuri naman ni PBGen Randulf T. Tuaño, Acting Regional Director ng PRO6, ang mga operating units sa matagumpay na operasyon kontra sa ilegal na droga na nakabatay sa mga layunin ng “Bagong PNP para sa Bagong Pilipinas: Serbisyong mabilis, tapat, at nararamdaman.”
“The resumption of illegal drug activities by repeat offenders will never be tolerated. Regardless of previous arrests or plea bargaining, anyone who chooses to return to the illegal drug trade will face the full force of the law through sustained intelligence-driven police operations,” saad pa ni PBGen Tuaño.
“We remain committed to ensuring that those who continue to engage in the illegal drug trade are identified, monitored, and brought before the courts. There will be no haven for drug offenders in Western Visayas,” dagdag pa niya.
