Tinatayang nasa Php7.8 milyong halaga ng mga ilegal na liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) products at refilling equipment ang nakumpiska ng mga tauhan ng Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG) Regional Field Unit 4A mula sa tatlong suspek sa isinagawang matagumpay na operasyon noong October 9, 2025 sa Priority Gas Corp., Sitio Ibaba, Barangay Natunoan, San Jose, Batangas.
Kinilala ni Police Major General Robert A Morico II, Acting Director ng CIDG, ang mga naarestong suspek na sina alyas “Guillerma”, “Romel” at “Gerald”, parehong nasa legal na edad at mga residente ng Barangay Natunoan, San Jose, Batangas.
Ayon sa ulat, nahuli sa akto ang tatlong suspek na nagsasagawa ng hindi awtorisadong cross-refilling ng mga LPG cylinders kahit walang License to Operate (LTO) mula sa Department of Energy.
Kabilang sa mga nakumpiska ng kapulisan ang walong refilled LPG cylinders na may Regasco at Maxx Gas trademarks; 193 empty cylinders ng mga assorted brands — Savers Gas, Mabuhay, Island Gas, PryceGas, Maxx Gas, Regasco, at Star Gas; refilling machines, compressors, weighing scales, isang trailer bullet truck na may lamang nasa 38,000 liters ng LPG products , at isang stake body delivery truck, na may kabuuang estimated value na Php7,824,928.82.
Ang naturang operasyon ay bahagi sa OPLAN LIRA (Operation LPG Industry Regulation Act) ng CIDG na naglalayong tutukan ang mga operasyon ng ilegal na liquified petroleum products alinsunod sa Focused Agenda ni Police Lieutenant General Jose Melencio C Nartatez, Acting Chief, Philippine National Police.
“I commend PLtCol Ali C Ganaban, the Regional Chief of CIDG Regional Field Unit 4A and the LPGMA Party List Task Force for the arrest of the three suspects; and the confiscation of the alleged illicit liquified petroleum gas products and refilling equipment. Maraming salamat sa inyo,” saad pa ni PMGen Morico II.
“Rest assured that your CIDG is steadfast in implementing all laws and relentless in catching all violators and criminals. We urge the public to report to CIDG all illegal activities or trade malpractices in their localities, and the CIDG will do the rest,” dagdag pa niya.
