Tinatayang umabot sa mahigit PhP5 milyong halaga ng iligal na droga ang nakumpiska ng Police Regional Office 5 (PRO5) sa isinagawang weeklong intensified anti-illegal drugs campaign sa rehiyon simula March 23-29, 2026.
Sa parehong panahon, nakapagsagawa ang PRO6 ng nasa 29 anti-illegal drug operations, na nagresulta sa pagkakaaresto ng 35 violators. Kabilang na rito ang tatlong high-value individuals at 32 street-level offenders.
Samantala, nakapagsampa rin ang mga awtoridad ng nasa kabuuang 38 kaso laban sa mga naarestong suspek.
Aabot naman sa kabuuang 12.80 grams ng marijuana at 839.45 grams ng shabu ang narekober ng mga awtoridad na mayroong combined standard drug price na PhP5,709,796.00.
“The success of these operations is a testament to the dedication and courage of our personnel, as well as the strong collaboration between the police and the community. We remain relentless in our campaign against illegal drugs and will continue to intensify our efforts to dismantle drug networks operating in the region,” pahayag pa ni PBGEN Erosito N Miranda, Regional Director ng PRO 5.
“Let this serve as a strong warning to those who continue to engage in illegal drug activities, PRO 5 will not stop until those responsible are held accountable. We urge the public to remain vigilant and to continue supporting our efforts by reporting any suspicious activities in their communities,” dagdag pa niya.
