Kinilala ni Police Colonel Leo Sua, Provincial Director ng Lanao del Norte Police Provincial Office, ang suspek na si alyas Ardo, 26 anyos, truckman, residente ng Santa Barbara, Zamboanga City.
Sa isinagawang inspeksyon, napansin ng mga pulis ang ilang master case ng sigarilyo na nakalagay sa likurang upuan ng sasakyan at nabigo ang naturang drayber na magpakita ng anumang legal na dokumento, kaya agad na hinuli.
Naging matagumpay ang operasyon dahil sa pagsisikap ng mga tauhan ng Lanao del Norte 1st Provincial Mobile Force Company, Lanao del Norte Maritime Police Station, Lanao del Norte Provincial Intelligence Unit, 1005th Regional Mobile Force Battalion 10, PNP Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG) Lanao del Norte, Regional Intelligence Division 10, at Linamon Municipal Police Station.
Narekober sa naturang operasyon ang isang Mitsubishi Pickup Truck; isang ignition key; at 10 master cases ng Fort cigarettes (WhiteGreen), na naglalaman ng 500 reams na nagkakahalaga ng Php400,000.
