Naaresto ng pinagsanib na puwersa ng Police Regional Office MIMAROPA (PRO MIMAROPA) ang Rank 6 Regional Most Wanted Person, na nahaharap sa iba’t ibang kaso ng rape, sa isinagawang manhunt operation sa Sitio Deta, Bayawan City, Negros Oriental nito lamang August 14, 2026.
Nanguna sa operasyon ang mga tauhan ng San Vicente Municipal Police Station (MPS) ng Palawan Police Provincial Office (PPO) sa pangunguna ni PCpt Mae Anne G. Claus, Officer-in-Charge, katuwang ang Regional Special Operations Group (RSOG), PRONIR, at Tracker Team ng Bayawan City Police Station (CPS), Negros Oriental PPO.
Inaresto ang suspek sa bisa ng Warrant of Arrest na inisyu ng Family Court, Fourth Judicial Region, Branch 14, Taytay, Palawan, dahil sa apat na bilang ng kasong Statutory Rape sa ilalim ng Article 266-A, Paragraph (d) ng Revised Penal Code (RPC), at Rape by Sexual Assault sa ilalim ng Article 266-A ng RPC.
Pinuri naman ni PBGen Christopher R. Dela Cruz, Regional Director ng PRO-MIMAROPA, ang lahat ng mga operating units sa matagumpay na pagtunton sa kinaroroonan ng naturang wanted person bilang bahagi ng kampanya ng “Bagong PNP para sa Bagong Pilipinas: Serbisyong mabilis, tapat, at nararamdaman.”
Aniya, “Being outside MIMAROPA does not place a wanted person beyond our reach. We will continue to act on information, work closely with other police units, and pursue wanted persons wherever they may be until they are brought before the proper court,” PBGEN Dela Cruz said.
“This arrest shows the value of close coordination and timely action. We will continue to strengthen our intelligence and manhunt efforts to ensure that persons with standing warrants are located and made to answer for their cases before the courts,” dagdag pa niya.
