Tinatayang nasa 9,000 pulis ang i-de-deploy para sa Bangsamoro Autonomous Region for Muslim Mindanao (BARMM) parliamentary elections sa darating na Setyembre 14, 2026 ayon kay Police Brigadier General Jaysen De Guzman, Regional Director sa isinagawang ambush interview nito lamang Martes ng gabi, Abril 26, 2026.
“We propose that the augmentation will be coming only from regions in Mindanao, like Region 9, 10, 13, 11, and 12. And also with our special units like the [Special Action Force], the Maritime Group, [Highway Patrol Group], they will be utilized as well,” saad ni RD De Guzman.
Nabatid na meron ding augmentation mula sa AFP at PCG na aabot sa 2,000 hanggang 3,000 upang maging katuwang ng PNP sa pagpapatupad ng seguridad at kaayusan habang umiiral ang campaign period para sa naturang BARMM parliamentary elections.
Siniguro naman ni PBGen De Guzman na ang security forces ay mananatiling apolitical sa buong proseso ng halalan. Ang election period ay magsisimula sa Hulyo 16 hanggang Setyembre 29, 2026 habang ang campaign period ay magsisimula sa Hulyo 30 hanggang Setyembre 12, 2026.
