Kasalukuyan umanong nakikipag-ugnayan ang Philippine National Police (PNP) sa ilalim ng pamumuno ni Police General Jose Melencio C Nartatez Jr., Chief, PNP, sa iba pang mga government agencies at international counterparts nito kaugnay sa pagkakaaaresto umano ni dating congressman Elizaldy “Zaldy” Co kamakailan lamang.
Sa isang facebook post, ipinahayag ni President Ferdinand R Marcos Jr., na si Co ay kasalukuyang naka-detain sa Prague at nasa ilalim ng kustodiya ng mga awtoridad ng Czech Republic.
Saad pa ng PNP na patuloy nilang bini-beripika ang mga detalye at impormasyon kaugnay sa nasabing development sa pamamagitan ng mga official channel patungkol sa kinaroroonan ni Co na ngayon ay itinuturing na wanted person sa bansa dahil sa mga kaso nitong may kaugnayan sa isyu ng flood control at iba pa.
“In line with the President’s statement, the PNP stands ready to provide necessary assistance and support in ensuring that all legal processes are properly observed, including coordination for his possible return to the Philippines. Further updates will be provided as soon as information is officially confirmed,” pahayag pa ng PNP.
