Aasahan umanong magtatalaga pa ng mas maraming babaeng kapulisan sa mga istasyon, ayon sa Philippine National Police (PNP) upang tutulong sa mga Violence Against Women and their Children (VAWC) victims sa iba’t ibang bahagi ng bansa.
Sa isang pahayag, binigyang-diin ni Police General Jose Melencio C Nartatez Jr., PNP Chief, ang aniya ay “growing trust” ng publiko sa 911 emergency call system ng Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) kasunod ng tumataas na bilang ng mga natanggap nitong insidente na umabot sa 5,000 VAWC cases sa taong 2025.
“To sustain this momentum, the PNP is prioritizing the deployment of more women officers in barangays to assist victims,” saad pa niya.
“By adding more women cops in the field, we hope victims feel safer in seeking help. This is not just about response. It’s about building trust and giving hope to those who need it most,” dagdag pa ni CPNP Nartatez.
