Quezon – Nasamsam ang tinatayang Php15,300,000 halaga ng shabu sa isang High Value Individual (HVI) sa ikinasang joint buy-bust operation ng Quezon PNP nito lamang Oktubre 21, 2023.
Kinilala ni Police Brigadier General Paul Kenneth Lucas, Acting Regional Director ng Police Regional Office CALABARZON, ang suspek na si alyas “Eric”, lalaki, 40, tricycle driver, residente ng Jael Subdivision, Brgy. Ilayang Iyam, Lucena City, Quezon at nakatala bilang HVI ng Quezon Police Provincial Office Drugs Watchlist.
Naaresto ang suspek sa Zoleta Street, Jael Subdivision, Brgy. Ilayang Iyam, Lucena City, Quezon sa pinagsanib puwersa ng mga operatiba ng Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit at Provincial Intelligence Unit ng Quezon Police Provincial Office kasama ang Lucena City Drug Enforcement Unit.
Nasamsam mula sa suspek ang 10 pirasong plastic sachets, anim na pirasong sealed transparent plastic bags at limang nakataling transparent plastic bags na naglalaman ng mga hinihinalang shabu na tumitimbang ng 750 gramo na may street market value na Php15,300,000 at mga monetary bill na ginamit bilang boodle money.
Nahaharap ang suspek sa kasong paglabag sa Republic Act 9165 o Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
“It is another huge success for our operatives in the City of Lucena in Quezon. It only shows that our operatives are working tirelessly in order to eradicate the proliferation of illegal drugs in Quezon. I have ordered the Quezon PPO’s anti-drug units to step up their intelligence collection and conduct extensive investigations in order to identify the source of these illegal drugs that proliferates in Lucena City, specifically in Brgy. Ilayang Iyam where this bigtime drug pusher established its domain”, pahayag ni ARD Lucas.
