Nakahanda na ang pamunuan ng National Capital Region Police Office sa ilalim ng liderato ni Police Major General Anthony A Aberin, Regional Director, para tiyakin ang seguridad sa ikalimang State of the Nation Address (SONA) ni Pangulong Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr.
Nabatid na nasa kabuuang 21,261 na pulis ang itinalaga para sa seguridad ng SONA, na susuportahan ng 3,000 standby personnel mula sa Police Regional Office 2, Police Regional Office 4B, at Police Regional Office 5, na nakahandang agad na magbigay ng karagdagang puwersa kung kinakailangan.
Ang kapulisan ay nakapuwesto sa House of Representatives at Batasang Pambansa Complex, mga pangunahing lansangan, transport terminals, border control points, mga itinalagang lugar para sa mga pagtitipon, mga tanggapan ng pamahalaan, at iba pang mahahalagang lugar sa Metro Manila. Magpapatuloy din ang regular na anti-criminality operations at police visibility upang matiyak ang patuloy na kaligtasan ng publiko sa buong rehiyon.
Upang matiyak ang maayos na pamamahala sa mga pampublikong pagtitipon habang iginagalang ang mga demokratikong karapatan, nagtalaga ang NCRPO ng 11,196 Civil Disturbance Management (CDM) personnel.
“All deployed personnel have undergone rigorous operational briefings explicitly emphasizing maximum tolerance, absolute respect for human rights, and the inviolable constitutional right of citizens to peaceful assembly and free expression. Security operations will strictly adhere to the rule of law and Police Operational Procedures, balancing public safety with the total safeguarding of democratic freedoms,” saad ni RD Aberin.
Magpapatupad ang NCRPO ng Full Alert Status simula 5:00 ng hapon ng Hulyo 24, kasunod ang sunod-sunod na deployment hanggang sa ganap na operational readiness bago ang SONA. Kabilang sa mga paghahanda ang pinaigting na intelligence monitoring, seguridad sa mga ruta at paligid ng venue, contingency planning, pagtalaga ng Quick Reaction Teams, Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) units, SWAT teams, medical response teams, at mahigpit na koordinasyon sa Presidential Security Command, Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP), MMDA, Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP), Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP), Philippine Coast Guard (PCG), mga lokal na pamahalaan, at iba pang katuwang na ahensya ng pamahalaan at pribadong sektor.
Kabilang din sa mga ipatutupad na hakbang ang No Fly Zone, No Drone Zone sa mga itinalagang lugar at ang pansamantalang pagsuspinde sa buong bansa ng Permits to Carry Firearms Outside Residence (PTCFOR) sa Hulyo 27, bilang karagdagang seguridad.
