Nasamsam ang tinatayang Php8.5 milyong halaga ng smuggled na sigarilyo at arestado ang 37 wanted persons sa ikinasang isang araw na operasyon sa iba’t ibang panig ng Davao Region.
Ito ang direktang tugon ng Police Regional Office 11 sa ilalim ng pamumuno ni Police Brigadier General Leon Victor Z Rosete, Regional Director, sa mantra ni Acting Chief PNP na si Police Lieutenant General Jose Melencio C Nartatez Jr., na “Bagong PNP para sa Bagong Pilipinas: Serbisyong Mabilis, Tapat at Nararamdaman”.
Nabatid na sa 37 Wanted Persons na nadakip, 26 na indibidwal ang kabilang sa Regional, Provincial at Municipal Level Most Wanted List.
Kabilang dito sina alyas “Ariel” at “Gori,” pawang miyembro ng New People’s Army sa kasong Murder; alyas “Ravin” Top 5 Davao City Most Wanted Person at alyas ‘King,’ Top 7 Most Wanted Person sa kasong Large-Scale Illegal Recruitment; alyas ‘Alvin,’ na may kasong Murder at Attempted Murder; alyas ‘Michael,’ na may kasong 4 Counts of Rape; alyas “Eduard” na may kasong Republic Act 9165 o ang Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002; alyas “Pandoy,” Top 1 Regional Level Most Wanted Person; alyas “Samboy,” 6th Regional Level Most Wanted Person; at alyas “Benjie,” 7th Regional Level Most Wanted Person; at alyas “‘Gapo” na may kasong Qualified Rape, Lascivious Conduct at child abuse.
Samantala, nasa 50 indibidwal ang nadakip na may kaugnayan sa kasong Republic Act 10643 or the “Graphic Health Warning Law”.
“This is in line with the Focused Agenda of the Chief, Philippine National Police, Lt. Gen. Jose Melencio C. Nartatez Jr. for us to go all-out against wanted criminals and all forms of smuggling,” ani RD Rosete.
