Pinarangalan ng Sangguniang Panlungsod ng Butuan ang Butuan City Police Office sa pamamagitan ng SP Resolution No. 058-2025 na ipinasa noong Agosto 27, 2025 bilang pagkilala matapos hirangin na Top 2 Best Performing City Police Office sa buong bansa para sa taong 2025 nito lamang Setyembre 08, 2025.
Batay sa resulta ng Field Evaluation and Validation (FEV) at Online Evaluation noong Agosto 8, 2025, kaugnay ng pagdiriwang ng ika-124 PNP Service Anniversary, muling pinatunayan ng Butuan City Police Office ang kanilang kahusayan sa pagpapatupad ng batas at pagbibigay ng de-kalidad na serbisyo sa mga mamamayan.
Pinangunahan ni Hon. Reynante B. Desiata, City Vice Mayor at Presiding Officer, ang pag-apruba sa resolusyon kasama si Atty. Dennis M. Bacala. Kabilang sa mga sumuporta sina Hon. Ferdinand E. Nalcot, Hon. Rema D. Erigbuagas-Burdeos, Hon. Clint T. Dabalos, Hon. Ronaldo C. Montero, at Hon. Marlon R. Labis. Nagkaisa ang buong konseho sa pagbibigay-pugay na ito para sa BCPO.
Ang pagkilalang ito ay nagsisilbing patunay ng mahalagang papel ng BCPO sa pagpapanatili ng kapayapaan, kaayusan, at kaligtasan ng komunidad, gayundin ng kanilang malasakit sa pamayanan ng Butuan.
