Cebu – Timbog ng pulisya ang top level drug personality ng Central Visayas matapos makumpiskahan ng kilo-kilong shabu sa buy-bust operation sa Purok Kawayan, Sitio Kimba, Brgy. San Roque, Talisay City, Cebu noong Hulyo 30, 2023.
Sa ulat ng Police Regional Office (PRO) 7, sa pangunguna ng Station Drug Enforcement Unit (SDEU) ng Talisay City Police Station (CPS) katuwang ang mga tauhan ng Provincial Intelligence/Drug Enforcement Unit ng Cebu Police Provincial Office (CPPO) at Regional Intelligence Division 7, arestado ang high value suspek na kinilalang si “Robert”, residente ng Purok Avocado, Brgy. Maghaway ng nasabing lungsod.
Nasamsam mula sa suspek ang tinatayang nasa 5.5 kilo ng hinihinalang shabu na nagkakahalaga ng Php37,400,000; isang calibre .45 pistol; dalawang live ammunitions; mga bag na ginamit bilang lagayan ng droga; isang white/pink na Honda beat; IDs; at buy-bust money.
Nahaharap ang suspek sa kasong paglabag sa RA 9165 o Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 at RA 10591 o Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act.
Pinuri ng Regional Director PRO 7, Police Brigadier General Anthony A Aberin ang walang humpay na pagsisikap ng mga operating unit laban sa ilegal na droga.
Kinilala rin ni PBGen Aberin ang pagsisikap ang lokal na pamahalaan ng City of Talisay sa todo-todong suporta sa anti-drug campaign ng PNP.
