Camp Crame, Quezon City – Sa ika- 38 na taon, isang buwan at pitong araw ng pagseserbisyo bilang sundalo at pulis, ang ika-27 na Hepe ng Pambansang Pulisya ay ginawaran ng Retirement Honors sa PNP Multi-Purpose Center, Camp BGen Rafael T Crame, Quezon City noong ika-6 ng Mayo 2022.
Pinangunahan ni Department of Interior and Local Government Secretary Eduardo M Año ang inihandog na seremonya ng Retirement Honors kay Power House General, Police General Dionardo Bernardo Carlos, PMA Maringal Class 1988.
Kasama ang kanyang pamilya, tinanggap ni Police General Carlos ang kanyang retirement order, retirement of PNP Badge, at enchased personal flag.
Matapos ang kanyang valedictory, nanumpa si Police General Carlos ng pakikipagsama bilang bagong miyembro ng PNP Council of Elders na pinangasiwaan naman ni Police Director General Edgar B Aglipay (ret.).
Pinuri nman ni DILG Secretary Ano si Police General Carlos sa kanyang matagumpay na pagseserbisyo sa Pambansang Pulisya ng may integridad at huwarang paglilingkod nang walang bahid na pansariling interest.
“Upon assuming command of the 222,000 strong police force in November last year, General Carlos like those who came before him was met with great expectations. But like the stand-up leader that he has always be, he took on the job and did not crumble under the wave of pressure”, saad ni Secretary Ano.
Samantala, pinabulaanan naman ni Police General Carlos na ang kanyang pagreretiro ay hindi sa anumang paraan magiging hadlang sa kasalukuyang preparasyon ng PNP upang magarantiya ang Secure, Accurate, Free/Fair Elections sa nalalapit na Mayo 9.
“Upon my retirement, I shall pass on the baton of leadership of the Philippine National Police to Police Lieutenant General Vicente D Danao Jr., the Deputy Chief PNP for Operations, a fine officer whom I look up to with great respect and admiration,” ani Police General Carlos.
