Nakumpiska ang tinatayang Php300,000 halaga ng Lishou Slimming Coffee na umano’y hindi rehistrado sa Food and Drug Administration (FDA) mula sa apat na suspek sa isinagawang operasyon ng Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG) Southern Metro Manila District Field Unit ng CIDG NCR sa Hokka Tower II, Binondo, Maynila noong Mayo 16, 2025.
Kinilala ni Police Major General Nicolas D Torre III, Director, ang mga suspek na sina alyas “Janice”, “Joey”, “Camille”, at “Meldy” na nahuli sa aktong nagbebenta ng naturang produkto na walang kaukulang Certificate of Product Registration (CPR).
Nakumpiska sa operasyon ang 20 master boxes ng “Lishou Slimming Coffee” na nagkakahalaga ng Php300,000, na hinihinalang hindi rehistrado sa FDA at ibinebenta ng walang kaukulang CPR.
Ayon kay PMGen Torre III, nahaharap ang mga suspek sa kasong paglabag sa Republic Act 9711 o “Food and Drug Administration Act of 2009” na nagbabawal sa paggawa, pag-angkat, pamamahagi, at pagbenta ng produktong pangkalusugan at pagkain nang walang pahintulot mula sa FDA.
Pinuri din ni PMGen Torre III ang mga operatiba ng Southern Metro Manila DFU at sa CIDG-CID (Civilian Informant and Detective) na nagbigay ng impormasyon tungkol sa ilegal na aktibidad. Aniya, “I commend the CIDG Southern Metro Manila District Field Unit of CIDG NCR Regional Field Unit for this accomplishment. We significantly prevented health and safety risk that may cause our consumers by seizing these unregistered food products, and of course we made the violators, accountable. I also commend the vigilant CIDG – CID (Civilian Informant and Detective) who tip off the illegal activities. Maraming Salamat sa inyo”.
