Kinilala ni Police Colonel Roy A Magsalay, Provincial Director ng Lanao del Norte Police Provincial Office, ang mga suspek na sina alyas “Jamal”, 32 taong gulang, lalake at alyas “Sadat”, 54 taong gulang, lalake at parehong taga Barangay Poblacion, Sultan Naga Dimaporo.

Bandang 11:49 ng gabi nang isinagawa ang checkpoint at naharang ang isang puti na Toyota Lite-Ace Van na may plakang NHM 5558 sa Purok 3, Barangay Tagulo, Sultan Naga Dimaporo at nadiskubre na may kargang assorted na smuggled cigarettes.

Narekober ang 17 Master Cases na Delta Red Cigarettes, 20 Master Cases na Delta white cigarettes, anim na Master Cases na New Far white cigarettes, 14 Master Cases na New Farred Cigarettes at anim master cases na Canon cigarettes na may tinatayang market value na Php2,520,000.

“This operation demonstrates our continued vigilance against the illegal trade of smuggled cigarettes in Lanao del Norte. We remained committed to uphold the law and protecting both public health and government revenue”, saad ni PCol Magsalay.
