Nasamsam ang tinatayang Php1,020,000 halaga ng shabu mula sa dalawang High Value Individuals na naaresto sa ikinasang buy-bust operation ng Nasipit Municipal Police Station sa Central 2, Barangay Cubi-Cubi, Nasipit, Agusan del Norte nito lamang Abril 7, 2025.
Ayon kay Police Colonel April Mark C. Young, Provincial Director ng Agusan del Norte Police Provincial Office, kinilala ang mga suspek na sina alyas “Ronaldo,” 54 anyos, lalaki, at ang kanyang live-in partner na si “Amor,” 48 anyos, na pawang mga residente ng Purok 14A, San Vicente, Butuan City at kabilang sa talaan ng mga High Value Individual sa rehiyon.
Sa operasyon, nakumpiska ang 150 gramo ng hinihinalang shabu na may kabuuang halaga na Php1,020,000; Php10,000 cash at mga non-drug paraphernalia.
Isinagawa ang operasyon sa pamamagitan ng masusing surveillance at koordinasyon ng Drug Enforcement Unit ng Nasipit Municipal Police Station, katuwang ang Regional Drug Enforcement Unit (RDEU) 13 at sa pakikipag-ugnayan sa Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency – Agusan del Norte Provincial Office.
Nahaharap sa kasong paglabag sa Republic Act 9165 o Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 ang mga suspek.
“We want to make it clear that we will not tolerate the use and sale of illegal drugs in our province. If you are involved, we strongly urge you to change your ways and seek help. The consequences are severe—including imprisonment. Let us work together in building a safe and healthy Agusan del Norte. Your cooperation is essential in the fight against illegal drugs,” ani PCol Young.
