Nakumpiska ang tinatayang Php156,400 halaga ng shabu mula sa dalawang hinihinalang tulak ng droga sa isinagawang buy-bust operation ng Surigao City Police Station Drug Enforcement Unit (SCPS-DEU) sa Purok 8, Payawan ll, Barangay Luna, Surigao City bandang 2:15 ng hapon nito lamang Nobyembre 18, 2024.
Ayon kay Police Colonel Nilo T Texon, Officer-In-Charge ng Surigao del Norte Police Provincial Office, ang mga suspek ay kinilalang sina alyas “Mego,” 44, isang mining driver, at alyas Jessah, 34 anyos na online teacher, kapwa residente ng Barangay Canlanipa, Surigao City.
Sa operasyon, nasamsam ang 11 sachet ng hinihinalang shabu na may bigat na 23 gramo at may Standard Drug Price na Php156,400; Php1,000 boodle money; isang Oppo smartphone, isang backpack, mga drug paraphernalia, at isang Honda Civic na may plaka na UGA777.
Ang mga suspek ay nahaharap sa kasong paglabag sa Sections 5, 11, at 12 ng Article II ng Republic Act 9165 o “Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002”.
