Camp Crame, Quezon City (February 3, 2022) – Madaling araw pa ng pormal na sinimulan ang pagdaraos ng 2022 Launching of “Kapulisan, Simbahan at Pamayanan” Secure, Accurate Free/Fair Elections National and Local Election 2022 o (“KASIMBAYANAN” SAFE NLE 2022) na pinangunahan ng Philippine National Police kasama ang Armed Forces of the Philippines, Philippine Air Force, Philippine Navy at Philippine Coastguard at ng iba’t ibang Religious Sectors at Community leaders sa buong bansa na ginanap sa mismong National Headquarters ng PNP nitong ika-3 ng Pebrero taong kasalukuyan.

Naging makabuluhan ang nasabing programa ng magbigay ng mensahe ang iba’t ibang Religious Leaders na pinangungunahan ni Most Reverend Oscar Jaime L. Florencio, D.D., Bishop, Military Ordinariate of the Philippines; Alim Naguib Taher, NCR Multi Vice Chair Imam Council of the Philippines; at Bishop Noel Pantoja, National Director, Philippine Council of Evangelical Churches. Ligtas, malinis at payapang halalan 2022 ang bukambibig at dalangin nila para sa lahat ng Pilipino sa darating na Mayo. Nag-iwan din sila ng hamon para sa lahat na magdasal para sa ikabubuti at katagumpayan lalong lalo na sa pagkamit ng Safe, Accurate, Free/Fair Elections sa buong bansa.

Sinundan naman ito ng simbolikong Candle Lighting na taimtim na sinalihan ng lahat ng dumalo sa nasabing okasyon upang mag-alay ng malawakang dasal para sa nalalapit na halalan ng bansa, kasunod ang Ceremonial Pinning ng Safety Election 2022 Pin at ang makahulugang Manifesto Signing na nilahukan naman ng iba’t ibang mga lider ng ahensya ng pamahalaan, Religious Sects, Advocacy Groups, Stakeholders at marami pang iba.

Hinimok naman ni Attorney Teopisto E. Elnas Jr., Deputy Executive Director, COMELEC ang lahat na magkaisa tungo sa matagumpay at malinis na halalan 2022, aniya, “As we implement election rules and regulations, one thing for sure—there will be challenges that will come our way. This is not a walk in the park, this will be a hard fight but with the collaboration, with the coordination and unity between and among stakeholders, success is not far for us to reach.”

“This activity today is a manifestation that COMELEC alone with its constitutional mandate to administer all laws and regulations relative to the conduct of elections cannot attain its objectives without involvement and participation of us all. Election is not only the concern of COMELEC, it’s everybody’s concern,” dagdag pa niya.

Kabilang din sa nagbigay ng mensahe sina Dr. Arwin Serrano, National Trustee of Parish Pastoral Council for Responsible Voting; at si General Andres C Centino, Chief of Staff, AFP na nagpaabot ng kanilang buong suporta sa pagpapatupad at pagtataguyod ng Safe Accurate Free/Fair National and Local Elections 2022.

Nagpasalamat naman si Police General Dionardo Carlos, Chief PNP sa lahat ng dumalo sa makahulugang seremonya at tiniyak na ang PNP ay manatiling tapat at handa sa pagpapatupad ng ligtas at mapayapang halalan. Aniya, “We will all be together to a commitment that we will perform professionally for this peaceful election. Today we rise and recommit ourselves to God, our country and our people as professional public servants, professional soldiers, professional law enforcers and as a God- centered, service- oriented and family- based Philippine National Police.”

“Together let us work in ushering the country to inclusive change as we work together in cascading the goals of a prosperous and a peaceful life for the Filipino people,” dagdag pa ni PGen Carlos.

Ang naturang programa ay matagumpay na dinaluhan ng iba’t ibang personalidad mula sa ahensya ng pamahalaan, uniformed personnel, Religious Community Leaders, Civic Group Leaders at mga Stakeholders.
