Lapu-Lapu City — Arestado ang isang senior citizen sa Mactan-Cebu International Airport dahil sa nakabinbing warrant nito sa kasong VAWC nito lamang Enero 24, 2023.
Kinilala ni Police Brigadier General Anthony Aberin, Director ng Aviation Security Group ang suspek na si alyas “Paquito”, 60 anyos, residente ng Brgy. Pooc, Talisay City, Cebu.
Ayon kay PBGen Aberin, papuntang Davao sana ang suspek ng arestuhin ng mga operatiba bandang alas-8:25 ng gabi sa pinagsanib pwersa ng Talisay City Police Station at Mactan-Cebu International Airport Police Station.
Kasong paglabag sa Sec 5(1) and Sec 5(A) of RA 9262 o “Anti-Violence Against Women and Their Children Act of 2004.”
“Women play an important role in our country. They should not be deprived of their rights in protecting themselves and their children from the harm brought by misogynists”, ani PBGen Aberin.
