Nasabat ng kapulisan ng Central Visayas ang higit Php1.3 milyong halaga ng hinihinalang shabu mula sa isang High Value Individual sa isinagawang buy-bust operation sa Purok Mabugnawon, Barangay Junob, Dumaguete City, Negros Oriental, noong ika-7 ng Marso 2025.
Bandang 6:47 ng gabi ng ikinasa ng mga operatiba ang naturang operasyon na nagresulta sa pagkaaresto ng high value individual na suspek na si “Roque”.
Nakuha sa kustodiya ng suspek ang 200 gramo ng hinihinalang shabu na may Standard Drug Price na Php1,360,000, buy-bust money, cellphone at belt bag.
Kasalukuyang nasa kustodiya ng Dumaguete City Police Station ang suspek at mahaharap sa kasong paglabag sa Sections 5 at 11 ng Republic Act 9165, o Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
Ayon kay PBGen Redrico Maranan, Regional Director Police Regional Office 7, ang matagumpay na operasyon ay bunga ng pinagsanib pwersa ng Dumaguete CPS, Dumaguete Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit, PNP Drug Enforcement Group/Special Operations Unit 7, Regional Police Drug Enforcement Unit/RID NOPPO at Negros Oriental Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA).
