Butuan City – Nakiisa ang Butuan PNP sa Celebration & Observance of Drug Abuse Prevention and Control Week 2022 na inorganisa ng City Anti-Drug Abuse Council (CADAC) sa Robinsons Place, Butuan City nito lamang Biyernes, Nobyembre 18, 2022.
Ang pakikiisa ay pinangunahan ni Police Colonel Marco Archinue, City Director ng Butuan City Police Office, na sinuportahan din ng Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG) Butuan, Kabataan Kontra Droga at Terorismo (KKDAT) Butuan, Liga ng Barangay, Government at Non-government agencies ng naturang syudad.
Sa pagtutulungan ng PNP, PDEA, CADAC, KKDAT at iba’t iba pang organisasyon, mula sa 86 na barangay sa Butuan, 52 na dito ang idineklarang drug-cleared barangays sa ilalim ng PDEA’s Barangay Drug Clearing Program.
Samantala, isinabay din sa aktibidad ang Awarding ng Plaques of Recognition at Cheques na may kabuuang halaga na Php115,000 sa mga nanalong KKDAT na nagbigay ng kani-kanilang entries sa Sining Bayanihan 2022 na layuning ipakita sa publiko ang masamang epekto sa komunidad ng ilegal na droga.
“I strongly believe that information is power; we have the information, hence, we have the power to curb down the drug menace in our beloved city. We know that the only way to do it is through synchronizing our efforts and initiatives. Let us remember that there is still work left to be done and we might have numerous plans of counter measures on this advocacy, but we also need cooperation and support coming from disciplined members of the community,” pahayag ni PCol Archinue.
