Naaresto ng mga operatiba ng Police Regional Office MIMAROPA ang dalawang high-ranking wanted persons sa magkakahiwalay na operasyon sa El Nido, Palawan nito lamang August 10, 2026.
Unang naaresto ng kapulisan sa Barangay Pasadeña ang Top 10 Regional Most Wanted Person na nahaharap sa kasong Rape by Sexual Assault.
Nanguna sa operasyon ang El Nido Municipal Police Station (MPS) sa ilalim ng pamumuno ni PCpt John Eric A. Areta, Officer-in-Charge, katuwang ang Provincial Intelligence Team (PIT) Palawan-RIU4B, Palawan Provincial Intelligence Unit (PALPIU), 2nd Provincial Mobile Force Company (2nd PMFC), at 401st Maneuver Company, Regional Mobile Force Battalion 4B (401st MC RMFB).
Naaresto ang naturang wanted person sa bisa ng Warrant of Arrest noong July 23, 2026 na inisyu ng Family Court, Fourth Judicial Region, Branch 14, Taytay, Palawan, dahil sa kasong Rape by Sexual Assault sa ilalim ng Article 266-A na may piyansang Php120,000 na inirekomenda.
Sa hiwalay na operasyon ng El Nido MPS sa Barangay Masagana, naaresto naman ang Top 4 Provincial Most Wanted Person ng Palawan, na nahaharap sa kasong Rape by Carnal Knowledge sa ilalim ng Article 266-A(1)(d) ng Revised Penal Code na inamiyendahan ng Republic Act No. 11648 nang walang piyansang inirekomenda.
Parehong nasa kustodiya ng El Nido MPS ang naarestong mga wanted person para sa kaukulang dokumentasyon at tamang disposisyon.
Alinsunod sa mantra na “Bagong PNP para sa Bagong Pilipinas: Serbisyong Mabilis, Tapat, at Nararamdaman,” pinuri ni PBGen Christopher R. Dela Cruz, Regional Director ng PRO-MIMAROPA, ang mga operatiba na nasa likod ng matagumpay na pag-aresto sa dalawang wanted individuals. Aniya, “Our personnel remain committed to pursuing wanted persons and implementing court-issued warrants. Through timely information and close coordination, we will continue to locate those who are sought by the courts and bring them before the proper judicial authorities.”
“We will continue to strengthen our manhunt operations and our coordination with our units and partners. Every successful warrant implementation brings a case closer to the proper judicial process,” dagdag pa niya.
