Naging mapayapa ang selebrasyon ng Labor Day sa buong Negros Island Region ayon sa ulat ng Police Regional Office-Negros Island Region (PRO-NIR) kasunod ng pagtalaga nito ng nasa mahigit 2,100 PNP personnel sa buong rehiyon.
Sa pamamagitan ng proactive at intelligence-driven security deployment, natiyak ng PRO-NIR ang pagkakaroon ng mapayapa at maayos na mga Labor Day activities sa iba’t ibang bahagi ng rehiyon.
Kabilang na rito ang pagpapatupad ng PRO-NIR ng malawakang police visibility, mga checkpoints, at ang pagtalaga ng mga CDM contingents at RSSF sakaling kinakailangan.
Samantala, iniulat naman ng PRO-NIR na kasama sa kanilang namonitor na mga aktibidad ang mga peace rally na idinaos sa BCGC Replica, Bacolod City Public Plaza, Barangay 12, Bacolod City, na mayroong estimated crowd na mahigit kumulang 40 indibidwal; protest rally mula South Capitol Road Lagoon patungong Bacolod City Public Plaza, Barangay 12, Bacolod City; at ang mga nagmunula sa Rizal Elementary School patungong Bacolod City Public Plaza, Barangay 12, Bacolod City, na mayroon namang estimated crowd na aabot sa 100 indibidwal.
Natapos ang lahat ng mga aktibidad na ipinakita ng PRO-NIR ang kanilang disiplina at propesyonalismo kung saan mahigpit na tumalima ang buong hanay sa pagpapatupad ng maximum tolerance at pagsunod sa lahat ng PNP operational procedures at higit sa lahat ang pagrespeto sa mga karapatang pantao.
