Ayon pa kay PBGen Acorda, ang grupo ni Brabong ang utak sa pagdukot sa isang miyembro ng PNP na nakatalaga sa Kalilangan Municipal Police Station, pangingikil sa mga may-ari ng malalaking construction companies at sa mga magsasaka.

Kasabay ng kanyang pagbabalik-loob ay ang pagsuko ng matataas na kalibre ng armas gaya ng isang M72 Light Anti-Tank Weapon (LAW) Caliber 66mm Rocket Launcher at isang M1919 Browning Caliber 30 Machine Gun na may 228 rounds of linked ammunition with defaced serial number.
