Ayon kay PBGen Caramat Jr, bandang 10:40 ng umaga ng maaresto ng Butuan City Police Station 4 si Rex sa Purok 4, Sitio Tangkiling, Barangay Anticala, Butuan City.

Ayon pa kay PBGen Caramat, inaresto si Dawog sa bisa ng Warrant of Arrest sa kasong Multiple Attempted Murder sa ilalim ng Criminal Case No. 2021-016.

Dagdag pa ni PBGen Caramat, si Rex ay isa ring Top 6 Communist Terrorist Group Priority Target ng Butuan City na miyembro ng Guerilla Front 21-C ng Northeastern Mindanao Regional Committee (NEMRC).

“I commend on the unceasing effort of PNP Caraga in our quest to end the long insurgency problem in the region, and this apprehension is proof that the law enforcers will not rest to hunt those perpetrators.
