This pertains to the Facebook live post of Local Government Unit of Pilar, Abra claiming that police officers of Pilar MPS are harassing them.

Just to set the record right, there is no harassment but a legitimate hot-pursuit operation.

Earlier this morning, personnel of Pilar MPS and RMFB15 were conducting a checkpoint operation when they flagged down a white TOYOTA HIACE with unidentified occupants. Instead of cooperating with the authorities, said motor vehicle disregarded the checkpoint and sped off. As a result, two (2) personnel of RMFB 15 who are serving as advance security were hit by the said motor vehicle and thereafter while fleeing fired upon the police officers hitting the police mobile.

As a result, a hot pursuit ensued, wherein said TOYOTA HIACE entered the compound/residence of Vice Mayor Jaja Josefina Disono.

For reiteration, there is no harassment but what is happening now in Pilar, Abra is a legitimate hot-pursuit operation.

As of the press time, police officers have cordoned off the area where the said TOYOTA HIACE which ignored the checkpoint has fled.
