Kinondena ng Ama ng Police Regional Office 10 na si Police Brigadier General Jaysen C De Guzman, ang pagpatay kay Police Captain Abdulcahar B Armama, Station Commander ng Cagayan de Oro City Police Station 2 matapos tambangan ng riding-in-tandem sa Zone 4 Upper Bulua, Cagayan de Oro City nito lamang Sabado ng gabi, Oktubre 5, 2024.
Si Police Captain Abdulcahar B Armama, aktibong miyembro ng Philippine National Police, kabilang sa Class Masidlak 2017.
Bandang 9:22 ng gabi nang nakatanggap ng tawag mula sa isang concerned citizen ang mga tauhan ng Cagayan de Oro City Police Station 7 patungkol sa naganap na shooting incident sa nasabing lugar.
Sa mabilis na pag-responde ng mga awtoridad, nakita ang duguang biktima na si PCpt Armama na may tama ng bala sa kanang bahagi ng ulo at agad isinugod sa pinakamalapit na hospital ngunit idineklarang dead-on-arrival.
Agad naman nagsagawa ang mga tauhan ng Cagayan de Oro City Police Station 7 ng hot-pursuit operation para sa posibleng pagkakakilanlan at pagkadakip ng tumakas na riding-in-tandem na mga suspek.
“The Police Regional Office 10 strongly condemns the senseless killing of PCpt Abdulcahar B Armama, the Station Commander of Police Station 2 (Cogon) of the Cagayan de Oro City Police Office. Such an act of violence against those who dedicate their lives to serving and protecting the community is abhorrent and unacceptable. Our thoughts and deepest sympathies are with the family, friends, colleagues of PCpt Armama during this painful and tragic time. We assure them that we will do all necessary actions to apprehend and bring to justice the perpetrators. We call on the public to come forward with any information that can aid in our investigation.
