Opisyal nang binuksan ng Police Regional Office (PRO)13 ang tatlong araw na RD’s Cup: The PBGen Nazarro “L.I.G.T.A.S. CARAGA” Proficiency Shootfest na ginanap sa Camp Col Rafael C Rodriguez, Butuan City nito lamang ika-16 ng Agosto 2024.
Pinangunahan ni Police Brigadier General Alan M Nazarro, Regional Director ng Police Regional Office 13, ang opening ceremony kasama ang iba pang miyembro ng Command Group, Regional at Personal staff, miyembro ng PNPA “TAGAPAGKALINGA” Class of 1991, range officers na sertipikado ng United States Practical Shooting Association National Range Officers Institute, at ang mga kalahok na binubuo ng mga tauhan ng PNP at mga sibilyan.
Sa kompetisyon, sa ilalim ng Level 2 Philippine Practical Shooting Association (PPSA) Sanctioned Match, ito ay binubuo ng walong yugto na may 193 minimum rounds bawat isa para sa handgun, pistol caliber carbine, at mini-rifle categories.
Kabilang sa mga isinagawa sa programa ay ang panunumpa ng Sportsmanship sa pangunguna ni PCol Restituto Lacano Jr., Acting Deputy Regional Director for Operations; Safety Orientation ni G. Rosendo Mario A. Napigkit, PPSA Area Director – Area 10 Northern Mindanao and International Range Officer Association (IROA) Range Master, at ang Ceremonial shoot na pinangunahan ni RD Nazarro.
“Since I assumed office, I have been vocal about my commitment to advancing the marksmanship skills of our PNP personnel. One of the most important aspects of our noble duty is our ability to handle our firearms with precision, discipline, and confidence. Today’s competition is the continuation of our endeavor,” ani RD Nazarro.
