PNP Street Inspections umarangkada, 526 Loose Firearms nakumpiska

Camp Crame, Quezon City (January 26, 2022) – Personal na lumahok si Police General Dionardo Carlos, Chief PNP sa pagturn- over ng mahigit 526 piraso ng mga nakumpiskang baril sa walang tigil na Street Inspections na isinagawa ng Civil Security Group – Supervisory Office on Security and Investigation Agencies (CSG-SOSIA) mula Enero 1 hanggang 20 ng taong kasalukuyan nito lamang Miyerkules, January 26, 2022.

Pinuri ni PGen. Carlos ang mga tauhan sa likod ng matagumpay na operasyon sa kabila ng matinding hamon sa umiiral na pandemya, aniya: “Kudos to the CSG and SOSIA hierarchies for these achievements which are in tune to my directives, for all PNP Personnel to do what is expected of them, and that is to do what is right.”

Ang mga nakumpiskang baril ay nakuha alinsunod sa batas, ito’y maaaring sa kadahilanang walang maipakita na valid permit or license to own and possess firearm. Maaari ring galing sa security personnel na nagpresenta ng expired Duty Detail Order (DDO) o wala talaga.

Gayundin, ang ibang baril ay na-tampered, o sira-sira o di man, may kaparehong serial numbers. “This comes with a penalty. The law which governs the security industry, RA 5487, as amended and its 2003 Revised IRR directs that the penalty to firearms violations is graded as “Grave Offenses” and entails a Php50,000 fine for the first offense and cancellation/revocation of License to Operate for the Private Security Service Providers for the second offense,” dagdag pa ni PGen. Carlos.
