Kinilala ni Police Brigadier General Ricardo Layug Jr, Regional Director ng Police Regional Office 10, ang naarestong suspek na si alyas “Saysay.”

Ayon kay PBGen Layug, naaresto ang suspek sa bisa ng Warrant of Arrest sa kasong Anti-Trafficking in Person Act of 2003 (RA 9208) na walang inirekomendang piyansa.

“I commend the exceptional efforts of the tracker team for their dedication and efficiency in apprehending the accused. This arrest is a significant victory in our relentless pursuit of justice and the eradication of criminal activities that exploit and harm our fellow citizens. We should really take this incident into account because human trafficking is no joke. Exploitation of vulnerable people for illicit gains is clearly a violation of our human rights and a direct assault on the values we uphold as a society,” ani ni PBGen Layug Jr.
