South Cotabato – Tuluyan nang napasakamay ng batas ang isa sa mga itinuturong suspek sa pang-aambush kay Lanao del Sur Governor, Mamintal Adiong Jr., matapos itong maaresto sa Checkpoint Operation ng PNP-AFP sa Sitio Morales, Brgy. Centrala, Surallah, South Cotabato nito lamang Huwebes, Mayo 25, 2023.
Kinilala ni Police Colonel Cydric Earl Tamayo, Acting Provincial Director ng South Cotabato Police Provincial Office, ang naarestong suspek, na si alyas “Commander Lomala”, 42, residente ng Bato-bato, Maguing, Lanao Del Sur.
Naaresto si “Commander Lomala” sa bisa ng Warrant of Arrest sa kasong Murder na walang rekomendadong piyansa.
Matatandaan na nangyari ang nasabing pananambang sa gobernador noong Pebrero 17, 2023 sa boundary ng Lanao Del Sur at Bukidnon na nagresulta ng pagkamatay ng tatlong police escorts at isang driver ng nasabing opisyal.
