Southern Leyte – Nakiisa ang mga tauhan ng Southern Leyte Police Provincial Office sa pagdiriwang ng International Coastal Clean-Up Day na ginanap sa Brgy. Ichon, Macrohon, Southern Leyte nito lamang Sabado, Setyembre 17, 2022.
Ang aktibidad ay pinangunahan ni Police Colonel Hector F Enage, Provincial Director kasama si Police Lieutenant Colonel Joseywells M Estopin, DPDO, SLPPO; Police Major Gracila M. Sabas, Acting Chief PCADU; Police Major Rolando M. Paloma, Chief of Police ng Macrohon Police Station; Rev. Pastor Rosell Tenio (PNP Life Coach) katuwang ang Philippine Coast Guard at Bureau of Fire Protection personnel.
Bukod sa pamumulot ng mga sari-saring basura, nagsagawa rin ng Scubasurero activity at pagtatanim ng mga puno ng bakawan ang mga nakilahok mula sa iba’t ibang ahensya ng gobyerno at komunidad.
Dumalo rin sa naturang aktibidad ang PENRO Southern Leyte, DILG Southern Leyte, Ichon Barangay Officials; miyembro ng Ichon Fisherfolks Association; 4 P’s Beneficiaries; Brgy. Lupon Tagapamayapa; Purok Chairpersons; at Persons Who Used Drugs (PWUDS).
Mensahe ni PCol Enage, “It is our duty as a community to maintain the cleanliness of our seas, rivers, lakes, and the rest of our territorial waters as a way of taking care of the only planet we have”.
Ang national campaign na ito ay nakatuon sa paglilinis ng ating mgamyamang tubig upang panatilihin ang kaayusan at kagandahan ng ating likas na yaman.
