Butuan City – Boluntaryong sumuko ang tatlong dating miyembro ng New People’s Army (NPA) sa Camp Rafael Rodriguez, Butuan City nito lamang Martes, Hunyo 21, 2022.
Kinilala ni Police Brigadier General Romeo Caramat Jr, Regional Director ng Police Regional Office 13, ang tatlong boluntaryong sumuko na NPA na pawang mga miyembro ng Barrio ng Guerilla Front 88, North Central Mindanao Regional Committee (NCMRC) na sina alyas “Michael,” 26, alyas “Marcos,” 25, at alyas “Daisy,” 44, na pawang mga residente ng San Luis, Agusan del Sur.
Ayon kay PBGen Caramat, bandang 4:00 ng hapon nang sumuko ang tatlo sa Agusan del Sur Provincial Intelligence Unit (ADSPIU), Camp Democrito O. Plaza, Purok 1, Patin-ay, Prosperidad, ADS.
Kasabay sa kanilang pagsuko ang pagturn-over ng isang caliber 30 US Carbine M2, isang caliber .357 Smith and Wesson revolver at isang caliber .3516 revolver.
Dagdag pa nito, ang mga sumuko ay kasalukuyang nasa proseso ng pag-avail ng Enhanced Comprehensive Local Integration Program (ECLIP) na programa ng pamahalaan.
“The increasing number of CTG surrenderers and the neutralization of their leaders, members, and supporters have brought significant losses to the terrorist group. With the continuing and aggressive efforts of the PNP and AFP against terrorism and the active support given by government agencies and the public on these efforts, we are optimistic that the CTG will soon meet its end”, pahayag ni PBGen Caramat.
