Nanumpa ang 359 na mga bagong pulis mula sa Eastern Visayas sa isinagawang Oath-Taking Ceremony ng Police Regional Office 8 noong November 5, 2021 sa PRO8 Grandstand Camp Ruperto Kangleon Palo, Leyte.
Pinangunahan ang nasabing seremonya ni PBGen Rommel Bernardo A Cabagnot, Regional Director, Police Regional Office 8 at ito ay dinaluhan nina Mr. Lito Gonzales, Representative from National Police Commission- Regional Office 8; Hon. Javier Zacate, Municipal Mayor, Sulat, Eastern Samar; at Atty. Ryan D. Mancera, Chairman, Regional Advisory Group for Police Transformation and Development.
“Today, you are formally part of Team Philippine National Police. Therefore, it is expected of you to adhere to all its mandates. Now that you will soon have to endure the next phase, it is my moral duty as your regional director, to remind you to adhere to the ideals of the organization,” wika ni PBGen Cabagnot sa mga police officers na nanumpa.
“Be accountable to the people and serve them with utmost responsibility, integrity, loyalty, and efficiency”, dagdag na paalala ni PBGen Cabagnot sa mga bagong pulis.
Sasailalim ang mga recruits sa anim na buwang mandatory training ng Public Safety Basic Recruit Course (PSBRC) sa Regional Training Center 8, Kuta Kankabato, San Jose, Tacloban City at kasunod nito ay anim na buwan ding sasailalim sa Field Training Program.
