Naaresto ng mga awtoridad ang dalawang (2) Vietnamese na nagpapanggap na doktor nang walang kaukulang lisensya at permit sa Vera Beauty Clinic, Makati Tower 2, Yakal Street Makati City noong Mayo 10, 2025.
Kinilala ni Police Major General Nicolas Torre III, Director ng Criminal Investigation and Detection Group, ang dalawang Vietnamese na sina “Doc Ana” at “Le Thi”.
Nahuli ng pinagsanib na pwersa ng CIDG Quezon City District Filed Unit at District Investigation Division ng Quezon City Police District ang mga suspek habang nagsasagawa ng lip augmentation procedure nang walang lisensya.
Ang mga suspek ay nagpapanggap na lisensyadong doktor at nagsasagawa ng mga aesthetic at medical procedure tulad ng lip fillers at ambulatory surgery.
Nagrereseta rin umano ang mga ito ng gamot kahit walang lisensya mula sa Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) at Department of Health (DOH).
Nahaharap ang mga dayuhan sa kasong paglabag sa Republic Act 2382 o “The Medical Act of 1959”.
Samantala, pinapurihan ni PMGen Torre ang mga operating units sa matagumpay na operasyon na kanilang isinagawa, “I commend the CIDG Quezon City District Filed Unit for this accomplishment. The State protects public health and ensures that only duly licensed professionals practice medicine in the country. The illegal practice of medicine poses a serious threat to public health and life of every patient. With their arrest, we significantly prevented crimes and possible serious health problems.
