Leyte – Pormal nang simulan ang 1st DILG’s Buhay Ingatan, Droga’y Ayawan (BIDA) Sportsfest 2023 sa pamamagitan ng pagtataas ng mga Banner ng lahat ng kalahok na ahensya, Lighting of Torch, at sabayang pagbigkas ng Pledge of Sportsmanship sa pangunguna ni DILG BIDA Focal Officer, Aristotle Batulan na ginanap sa PRO 8 Grandstand, Palo, Leyte nitong umaga ng Hulyo 17, 2023.
Ang aktibidad ay pinangunahan ng Police Regional Office 8 sa ilalim ng pamumuno ni Police Brigadier General Vincent Calanoga, Regional Director, na may temang: “MABASKOG: Foster Physical Activities, Cultivating Resilience and United Against Illegal Drugs”.
Sa mensahe ni PBGen Calanoga, “More than employing creative ways to promote the DILG’s BIDA Program, this shows that we are capable of fostering camaraderie, friendship, and solidarity—and that alone is a big win. It is only my hope that in the days to come, we will be able to sustain similar activities designed to further amplify our campaign against illegal drugs, particularly at the community level”.
Ito ay tatagal ng isang linggong sports competition mula Hulyo 17 hanggang 21, 2023, na lalahukan ng Department of the Interior and Local Government 8, Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP), Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP), National Police Commission (NAPOLCOM), at Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA).
Personal ding dinaluhan ang naturang aktibidad ni Dir. Arnel M. Agabe, CESO III, Regional Director, DILG 8; FSSupt Randy M Menaros, Assistant Regional Director, BFP 8; JSSupt Manuel Chan Jr, Assistant Regional Director, BJMP 8; Dir. Alex M. Tablate, Assistant Regional Director, PDEA 8; at si Dir. Edilberto Fardiñas, Assistant Regional Director, NAPOLCOM 8.
Layunin nitong pagtibayin ang camaraderie at sportsmanship sa pagitan ng mga ahensyang nagpapatupad ng batas sa rehiyon sa larangan iba’t ibang laro.
